There are few places on earth quite so romantic as a dimly lit theater in Las Vegas. As the lights go down and the stage begins to come to life, romantic couples sink further into their seats to share memories that are sure to last forever. While Las Vegas isn’t always cited as the most romantic destination around, it certainly has plenty to offer for visitors looking for the best shows in Vegas this Valentine’s Day.
Let’s plan our trip to Las Vegas around some of the most romantic and inviting destinations, events, and celebrations that there are.
Meet Cirque du Soleil
The guides for our Valentine’s Day trip this year will be the performers of Cirque du Soleil. Also known as the Circus of the Sun, Cirque du Soleil features exceptional talent from 55+ nations around the globe. Founded in the early 80s before rising to prominence in the early 90s, Cirque du Soleil has become a name synonymous with high-octane entertainment, and surrealist artistry played out on stage on a nightly basis.
With six nightly shows on offer, Cirque du Soleil has plenty to give to couples looking to spark a little bit of magic during their V-Day celebrations. Let’s begin our journey together as we navigate the perfect V-Day itinerary alongside the best last-minute tickets Las Vegas has to offer.
Romance & Artistry
Great theatrical productions are innately romantic as they tell a story in a setting where your mind is fit to wander and escape into a whole new world. As dreamers and storytellers, Cirque du Soleil has a slate of shows designed to invoke the kind of romantic responses that couples are looking for during their Valentine’s Day celebrations.
Here are a few of our favorite shows for visitors coming to Vegas this weekend for Valentine’s Day festivities.
O is a celebrated and surreal art piece performed at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino. Featuring a stage brimming with water as well as a tapestry of surrealism encompassing everything else, audiences will fade into a hushed murmur as they watch O come to life. After the show is over, had to go to the Bellagio Fountains for a few pictures.
If O doesn’t hit you where you want to be hit, then you’ll enjoy getting some time with the team of Mystere at Treasure Island. The longest-running show in Cirque du Soleil history, Mystere provides laughs, action, and stunning feats in equal measure to keep even the most theater-averse viewer glued to the stage.
Finally, visitors to the World of Disney in Florida will find themselves near enough to Drawn to Life, a new collaboration between Disney and Cirque du Soleil. The stunning show is available at Disney Springs, where it blends Disney’s classic animation and prop designs with Cirque du Soleil’s otherworldly talents.
