You do not have to worry about getting a heart attack if you have been boxing for a long time.

Improves body strength

As much as people assume that boxing is just about throwing fists, the opposite is true. With boxing, most, if not all, areas of your body are activated. As you tone your biceps, you also tone your overall body and learn to be fast on your feet and hands. At the end of it all, you end up with better body strength.  If you doubt it, then look at the math. Whenever you are sparring, you are using a bag of about 25kgs. Moving all that weight as your box will impact not just your arms but also the rest of your body. It is the main reason why professional boxers all have a lean body and a well-built body.

Increased muscle

Another thing you will gain from a box is more muscle. Other than being strong, you begin to notice that your body forms better muscles when you are boxing. The reason being this is, you keep breaking down fat and building more muscle as you work on your boxing. If you want a fun way to gain more muscle, then you should try boxing.
